The Revista Científica Arbitrada de la Fundación MenteClara participates in the Crossmark system, an initiative of Crossref designed to provide readers, researchers, and professionals with a clear and reliable way to verify the validity, integrity, and traceability of published scholarly content.

The use of Crossmark reflects the journal’s ongoing commitment to editorial transparency, the integrity of the scholarly record, and international best practices in academic publishing.

Currently, if an article displays the message "CrossMark data for this content is not currently available", this indicates that it has not undergone any modifications, corrections, or updates since its original publication date. Any future change to the content would be reflected here immediately.

What is Crossmark?

Crossmark is a service provided by Crossref that allows readers to determine, in an immediate and authoritative manner, whether a scholarly article:

  • is current and has not been altered,
  • has been subject to corrections, updates, or retractions,
  • maintains its original status since the time of publication.

By clicking the Crossmark icon displayed on articles, readers can access official and up-to-date information directly from Crossref records.

Commitment to the integrity of scholarly content

The journal recognizes that published articles constitute part of the permanent scholarly record. For this reason:

  • published content is not modified silently;
  • any correction, clarification, update, or retraction is handled in an explicit, documented, and traceable manner;
  • Crossmark is used to clearly signal such changes, preserving the trust of readers and citers.

This approach ensures consistency between the published content and digital preservation systems, libraries, and academic repositories.

Article versions and traceability

Crossmark enables the identification of whether an article:

  • corresponds to its original version;
  • has been corrected due to formal or technical errors;
  • includes editorial notes;
  • has been fully or partially retracted, when applicable.

In this way, the traceability of scholarly knowledge is preserved, and the use of outdated or incorrect versions in research, teaching, or professional practice is prevented.

Scope of the Crossmark system

  • The use of Crossmark does not involve any costs for authors.
  • It does not alter the peer review process.
  • It does not retrospectively modify articles without a public declaration.

Crossmark is a verification and transparency mechanism, not a payment system nor an additional requirement for publication.

Editorial responsibility

The Revista Científica Arbitrada de la Fundación MenteClara commits to:

  • keeping publication metadata up to date;
  • clearly informing readers of any relevant changes to articles;
  • respecting international ethical standards in cases of corrections or retractions;
  • ensuring consistency between published content and digital preservation systems.

Responsible use of scholarly information

Readers, researchers, and students are encouraged to:

  • always verify the status of an article using the Crossmark icon;
  • cite only current and reliable versions;
  • take into account any editorial notes associated with each publication.
