The present paper takes a closer look at how factors like spirituality, religiosity and subjective well-being can shape university students’ lives.
The research gathered insights from articles published in data bases like “Scielo” “Redalyc” and “Google Scholar” These three factors -Spirituality, Religiosity and Subjective Well-Being- have shown to be keys for the psychological, social and personal growth of college students. The findings highlight how influential religiosity is across all areas of an individual’s life, impacting crucial aspects like academics, emotional health, psychology and social interactions. Spirituality, on the other hand, is a broader concept that encompasses a sense of connection with something greater than oneself, the search for meaning, and the experience of transcendence. While often intertwined with religiosity, spirituality can also be expressed independently of formal religious practices. This review delves into the relationship between spirituality and subjective well-being, demonstrating that students with higher levels of spirituality tend to report great the available research, this narrative review provides valuable insights into the complex relationship between religiosity, spirituality, and subjective well-being in the university context. This study offers a foundation for future investigators exploring the relationships between all these concepts. By understanding the multifaceted ways in which religiosity and spirituality contribute to well-being, researchers can work on deeper investigations to support students' mental health and overall quality of life.
